I think I'm turning Japanese

Calling all you Wagamama lovers! You know who your are… I’ve seen you pass along those two for one vouchers, set up those Friday lunch dates with colleagues and over indulge in your weekly fix of Katsu curry!
Satsuma is amost identical to Waggas, except a little bit cheaper – no you haven’t died and gone to heaven!
I stumbled across this hidden gem in Soho with a pal on Saturday night.
In the true style of a modern Asian noodle bar, Satsuma seats you among other diners in a ‘canteen-bench’ type arrangement.
There is a wide variety of choice and a few familiar names for those of you who are a little nervous to quite let go of what you already know– Ramen Soups, Katsu curry, noodle soups.
We both opted for Bento boxes. I decided to go all out and try the Chicken Teriyaki Bento Box that also was served up with noodle dishes, California Rolls, salad, sushi and Miso soup. My friend decided on the sushi box – which came with prawns and other sea food rolls.
It was nice to try something different – I made myself not order the chicken Katsu curry – as much as I know it's my favourite. The problem I have when I go to Wagammas is that I stick to what I know in fear of being disappointed but at Satsuma it was as though I was a new person willing to try something different.
With a vibrant atmosphere and a humbling familiarity I definitely would recommend you Waga-lovers to give Satsuma a go… it may not quite be number one when it comes to Japanese food but it’s definitely a very close second.
